8/29/22 The Horsham Water & Sewer Authority Board awarded a bid for this project at our August 22, 2022 meeting.

8/18/22The Horsham Water & Sewer Authority received bids yesterday for the sewer extension in your area.  Not unexpectedly given inflation, the low bid price came in approximately 15% higher than originally estimated.  The Board of the Horsham Water & Sewer Authority will be considering award of the bid at its meeting on Monday, August 22, 2022.   As always, you are welcome to attend Monday’s Board meeting, or you may provide comments to be heard no later than 3pm Monday August 22, 2022.

11/30/21Design work for the extension of public sewer is beginning.  The design phase of the project requires field survey of Herman Road as well as the exterior features of the properties to be served by the sewer.  The property features required for design include house corners, trees, driveways, and septic system locations.  Gilmore and Associates (G&A) is the Engineer for HWSA, and G&A will be completing the survey work beginning the week of November 29, 2021.  Surveyors will only require exterior access to your property to obtain the information needed for the sewer design.  Survey work is important to obtain accurate field information to ensure proper design of the sewer.

8/31/21On 8/23/21, Horsham Water & Sewer Authority’s Board voted to proceed with planning and design of a sewer extension that will serve 11 properties within a segment of Horsham Road between Brantford Circle and Downey Drive that does not currently have access to public sewer.  The decision to proceed was based on survey results which indicated the majority of residents were in favor of the project.  In the future, physical survey work will be performed as the initial design process.  Plans and specifications are anticipated to be complete and ready for bidding this coming winter with a goal of beginning construction Spring of 2022.  Once the work begins, HWSA anticipates construction of the sewer to take approximately 2-3 months.  Several factors can affect Authority operations and project timelines, including regulatory approvals and weather.  If you are interested in this project you are encouraged to sign up for updates using the orange receive updates button on the home page of our website, complete the form and select Herman Road Sewers.
