4/26/22
- The building at Well 10 was demolished on Tuesday 4/26/22. Tree removal has begun in the area surrounding the well.
- The building at Well 17 will be demolished Wednesday 4/27/22.
- The building at Well 21, will be demolished Thursday, April 28 into Friday April 29. – The contractor will be utilizing heavy equipment within Jarrett Road while the actual demolition is in progress but is aware that the road provides emergency access and will make access available should an emergency occur while the work is ongoing. Access will be maintained after-hours. The contractor is strongly mindful of the heavy pedestrian traffic to Simmons Elementary and the Library and will take precautions to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the community throughout this important project.

3/17/22 - The Authority has awarded a contract to Blooming Glen Contractors, to construct and install three ion-exchange treatment systems with associated treatment buildings, associated internal and external piping, site work, electrical and HVAC work. The work will be performed at three separate locations: Well 10, Well 17 and Well 21. A construction schedule for the work has not yet been established due to ongoing supply chain issues associated with COVID. In the meantime, and prior to the start of construction contractors may be noticed performing preconstruction video-taping. This is a requirement of the project contract in order to document existing conditions throughout the work area and ultimately ensure that the area is properly restored.
